Summertime BBQ Kabobs

RTO Summertime BBQ Kabobs

The 4th of July is this weekend, and we are ready to celebrate! Just hope the weather man is wrong about all that triple digit nonsense.  We went ahead and had a little family get together, so we could bring you this: Our  Summertime BBQ Kabobs RTO style (Romancing The Onion haha) with Beeriyaki marinade! If you have made kabobs, then you know what its like to suffer through the painstakingly long process of cutting the meat and veggies, arranging them in pleasant little patterns on sticks, chasing them around the bbq, only to have your dreams crushed by bits of chewy beef, burnt peppers, raw onions, and awkward stab wounds from hungrily trying to free your dinner from the tiny javelins.  We feel your pain, and we are here to help!

Golf Ball Cake Pops for Pops

golf ball cake pops 22 A family friend asked me to do up some golf themed cake pops for a retirement party last week, and I got to thinking that a golf ball sitting on a tee would be fun.  I gathered all the info I could about molding golf balls for cake pops, went through some trials and errors, and came up with this combo of a no bake Oreo truffle like center and a white chocolate coating. Cookies and Cream anyone?

Crispy Kale Beet Salad

This salad was created when I was away on a girls trip in the Amador Wine Country.  I was feeling extra relaxed and inspired to cook for a bunch of happy ladies. The house we were staying in had a dreamy kitchen, tricked out with shiny industrial appliances, marble counters, and a rolling vineyard view.  I was in my happy place, and this beauty came together.  That summer afternoon we enjoyed Krispy Kale Beet Salad with some juicy beef sliders and wine some local wine.  Awwhhh it was a good day!…
